This years favourite sport is Dodgeball! Not the easiest sport to capture photos, but I did my best.
All students (grades 8 to 12) download and complete the following self evaluation form.
For weeks 6 to 8 we worked on our Plaster of Paris Sculptures. The theme for the sculptures was a social justice issue or human rights issue. Today was our last class of basketball! To some this is a disappointment, to others it couldn't come any sooner. The grade elevens and twelves did a great job coaching and reffing. Today in art we mixed up plaster of paris for sculpting. Our sculpting projects will be based on a social justice issue or human rights issue. Today we watched a couple of YouTube videos to learn about social justice and human rights, you can watch these videos below. This week your task is to find a video or article to base your sculpture on. Send me your video/article once you have found it. Today was the last day in our basketball unit! To celebrate we spent half the class playing dodgeball.
Remember to bring a milk container!Hi All,
Please remember that we are going to be mixing our plaster of paris this week and you will need a 1-2 litre milk jug (rinsed out) each. I'm looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow! - Ms. Adams The grade 12 PE students will be refereeing our basketball scrimmages in class for the next two weeks. Grade 12 students, please familiarize yourself with refereeing by watching the following videos. However, please note that we will be going over your role in class together, so do not fret. We will be focusing on the violations and fouls outlined on the Breakthrough Basketball website. For your convenience I have summarized these on que cards, which you can take on the court with you. Download them here. |
